This position will be responsible for managing the credit union’s Business Development and membership efforts, member education, and corporate relations with our sponsor companies.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Develops and retains new business opportunities and key contacts at new and existing company site locations nationally, ATM installations and extractions, new sponsor communication channels, support of corporate initiatives and educational opportunities.
- Manages key sponsor facility relationships at all sponsor sites nationwide.
- Targets new sites for future membership expansion and provides recommendations to management.
- Schedules, plans, and attends sponsor and member business development events.
- Assists with the opening of new online membership accounts and existing online membership add-ons.
- Completes monthly Business Development production report for Board of Directors.
- Prepares monthly business development reports and delivers results to Accounting.
- Achieves sales goals as defined by Senior Vice President.
- Proactively develops the relationship with our sponsor companies, with a focus on the Relocation Program to drive membership and additional cross-sales opportunities.
- Presents business development webinars and seminars (in-person, virtual, and recorded) to both sponsor HR teams and sponsor employee audiences. Monitors results for improvement.
- Acts as the voice of the credit union on the organizational podcast. Works in conjunction with Marketing to post podcasts on credit union website.
- Assists Senior Vice President with the development of department goals and strategies.
- Builds site performance metric scorecards and reviews results with site contacts semi-annually.
- Maintains database of key contacts (CRM) to identify current and future sponsor needs.
- Utilizes sales and service skills to respond to the needs of sponsor company contacts, members, and prospective members.
- Develops and maintains all business development and ATM operations procedures.
- Other duties as may be assigned.
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:
- Maintains promotional items inventory for onsite events and sponsor requests.
- Completes ongoing ATM analysis and makes recommendations about the additions or removals of ATMs nationwide.
- Supports ATM operations, including troubleshooting ATMs and contacting third-party vendors and Service Centers as needed.
- Develops new educational content, including PowerPoint presentations and podcast scripts, in line with key organizational initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education Required: High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Experience Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Public Relations, Business Administration or related field
- Experience Required: Three (3) years of management experience and three (3) years of sales experience
- Experience Preferred: Five (5) years of management experience and three (3) years of sales experience in a financial institution
